From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Klein was an equity research associate analyst at Neuberger Berman, covering the healthcare sector. Prior to 2011, Mr. Klein worked as an independent healthcare consultant.
JoAnna Loera Apfel
Ms. Apfel is director of client reporting in the client service group at Causeway. She rejoined the firm in June 2015 and her responsibilities include serving as a primary reporting liaison between various groups in the firm, managing workflow processes, as well as reporting for institutional clients.
From 2003 to 2012, Ms. Apfel worked in the client service group at Causeway. From 1997 to 2002, Ms. Apfel was a senior relationship manager with Morningstar, Inc. where she was responsible for data quality, data analysis, and client service within the Institutional Data Sales Group.
Ross Locher, CFA
Mr. Locher is a fundamental senior research analyst at Causeway. He joined the firm in July 2015. His current responsibilities include coverage of companies in the industrials and energy sectors.
From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Locher was an equity research associate at Brandes Investment Partners, where he covered the global industrials sector with a focus on aerospace and defense, construction and engineering, and housing-related industries. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. Locher interned at City National Bank as a credit analyst in the commercial banking group.
Danny O’Donnell, CFA
Mr. O’Donnell is a director of national accounts at Causeway. He joined the firm in December 2014.
From 2013 to 2014, Mr. O’Donnell worked as an internal sales consultant at Franklin Square Capital Partners, where he was primarily responsible for the sale of credit-based alternative investment funds into New York City, New Jersey and South Florida. Prior to Franklin Square, Mr. O’Donnell spent four years as vice president at Coventry Securities, which specialized in the structuring and distribution of longevity-based assets and securities to institutional investors.
Kurt Decko
Mr. Decko is the general counsel and chief compliance officer of Causeway. He joined the firm in May 2014 and was the chief compliance officer and senior legal counsel through September 2020.
Mr. Decko was an attorney in the investment management group of K&L Gates LLP in San Francisco from 2005 to 2014, and a partner since 2010. From 2000 to 2005, he was an attorney with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and, from 1999 to 2000, he was a judicial law clerk for the honorable Thomas J. Meskill of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Sarah Van Ness, CFA
Ms. Van Ness is a client service senior relationship manager and director of communications for Causeway. She joined the firm in April 2005 and is primarily responsible for servicing institutional clients in the United States and Canada.
From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Van Ness worked for several non-profit organizations.
Eric Crabtree
Mr. Crabtree is the chief client service officer at Causeway. He joined the firm in May 2004. Mr. Crabtree leads the client service team which includes relationship management and reporting. He is also a member of the operating committee.
From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Crabtree was a senior vice president with Roxbury Capital Management where he was responsible for client service and business development for the firm’s western United States institutional and high net worth clients and their advisers. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Crabtree was a principal and chief operating officer of Finacorp Securities where he was responsible for marketing high quality fixed income securities. Mr. Crabtree began his career in the financial services industry in April 1993 as a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch.
David Hissey
Mr. Hissey is a director of national accounts at Causeway. He joined the firm in January 2012.
From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Hissey was a sales associate for BlackRock and an institutional equity sales assistant for Guggenheim Capital Markets.
Jerry MacDonald
Mr. MacDonald is head of global consultant relations at Causeway. He joined the firm in February 2011.
From 2008 to 2011, Mr. MacDonald helped build and lead a successful U.S. mutual fund distribution business for Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., the firm’s inaugural effort to market its investment management group’s capabilities to intermediaries. Mr. MacDonald also helped develop and lead a sales strategy for BBH’s alternative investment group’s Asian-focused hedge fund-of-funds. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. MacDonald was a regional sales director for SEI’s investment manager services division, where he helped build out SEI’s total outsourced operations service platform to institutional investment managers throughout the United States. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. MacDonald was a director of sales for institutional investment analytics and ASP provider, InvestorForce. He was responsible for marketing its traditional and hedge fund investment manager search and analytics platforms to institutional investment consulting firms.
Turner Swan
Turner Swan is the chief operating officer of Causeway Analytics. He joined the firm in July 2001 and was the general counsel and a compliance officer through September 2020.
From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Swan was an attorney for the Hotchkis & Wiley division of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (HW-MLIM). From 1995 to 1997, he was an attorney with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in Los Angeles, and from 1993 to 1995, he was counsel for Trout Trading Management Company Ltd. in Bermuda.
